Linton Angling Society has recently re-negotiated an extension of the lease/licence for the exclusive fishing rights on a picturesque stretch of the Royal Military Canal.
This stretch is approximately 3 miles long & is crossed by three bridges.

This famous venue has hosted many successful matches & competitions in its long history. It holds most species of coarse fish, Tench, Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch, Pike & of course Eels. The Canal can provide excellent
sport with good bags of Tench & Bream caught along side the lily pads in the summer early mornings & late evenings also autumn is particularly productive for Roach & Perch.
For those specialist anglers who wish to spend time to explore & search out their haunts & lies there are some good size Carp & Pike. This venue does produce some big eels.
The EA have big plans for a revitalising the famous canal & with new funding bringing it back to its former glory. They have started testing & experimenting on some other stretches so with that in mind we have negotiated an agreement to lease it on a yearly basis.
