Brown Trout

Brown Trout

Had a great morning fishing. Set off early with some sliced bread (nicked my wife and son's breakfast beofre they got up) for the Teise at New Lodge Farm with the intention of catching a chub or two and in the first hour had two smashing brown trout instead (photo of best one attached). Nothing happening then so wandered off up to Reed Court farm and found some chub, managed to find a six inch ledge under a tree that got to down me to the water's edge and after about 30 minutes managed to get the daddy chub to take my bread. Great fighting fish. (sorry about the crappy photo - not sure what button I pressed on the camera phone to make it such a small file).

Life felt good, a wonderful morning, the sun shining, the fish biting and home by lunch time so still in favour with the management. Could be a good weekend! :D

Well done, I was down there myself this weekend, had a couple of small chub out before a monster pike came and ruined my swim. He was so big with the water v low that half of him was out of the water. Saw some clonker chub though that he was after that will definetly take me back soon.
