Junior Section - Seasons Awards
A Junior section was started way back in the mid 1960's. Sid Flood, Jim Howell, Norman Young, Paul Weise, Brian Jenner, David Neeves, Malcolm Smith & Andrew Tate were just a few of the past names who were involved in running it.
The section was officially 'taken under the wing' of The Linton Angling Society in 1996. Since then it grew from strength to strength, it was some 68 members strong (2006-07 season)
After the tragic loss of Andrew Tate in 2005 all junior events were suspender until a suitable member was found to take over & carry on the splendid work in running & organizing the junior section. Unfortunately to date this has not happened.
In this day & age it is difficult to find someone with necessary time, clearances & qualifications to take on this type of role & responsibility… any volunteers?
As a club we want to encourage & build up the junior section, After all, they are the future of Angling!
