2003 WINTER League - First leg - Match 1
Date: 19th January 2003.
Venue: River Beult, Hawkenbury, Kent.
Conditions: Cold, windy & very wet. River running high, fast & coloured.
Summary: Good entry with 21 competitors.
MATCH ABANDONED at 10.30 am.
Because of the constant rain the River rose dramatically making it impossible to fish.


2003 WINTER League - First leg - Match 2
Date: 9th February 2003.
Venue: Staplehurst Reservoir, Staplehurst, Kent.
Conditions: Rained continuously through the match until the last hour. Light wind, cold, overcast & wet.
Summary: Again well attended, but the fishing was very poor, only 5 anglers caught, many didn't even have a bite, all very disappointing.

2003 WINTER League - First leg - Match 3
Date: 9th March 2003.
Venue: River Medway, Wateringbury, Kent.
Conditions: Overcast, sunny periods, very windy making it feel colder.
Summary: Again very good turn out, but the same sorry story, poor fishing. The large amount of rain going into the river on Friday dropped the water temperature & raised the water level dramatically. Despite this the river did drop, still being slightly up, coloured but with quite a fast flow. Well done to Mick Cullen, he must have known something we didn't or maybe his experience paid off. Weights consisted mainly of few Bream, Gudgeon & Ruffe
